This is Pastor Sean and welcome to our little corner of the internet!
Ecclesiastes 3 talks about there being seasons in life for everything. Basically, change happens and sometimes change can be good and sometimes it can be painful. I will not say that change is bad because we don’t see the long term effects of change immediately. Just because something is painful does not mean that it will not bring about some blessings. First Baptist Church of Helena has entered a season with a new pastor, me. I hope that it has not been painful for them so far.
This has also meant a new season my family and myself as well. Becoming a pastor is new to me as this is my first pastorate. My family and I move about 200 miles from home to follow God’s call. I can tell you it has been exciting, nerve-wrecking, scary, and interesting all wrapped into one. Each day brings something new and we must learn and adapt. Overall, it has been a blessing. Meeting new people, making new friends, and getting to know new family. I say family because being a part of God’s family definitely increases one’s family size.
Anyway, I will stop rambling and say that I am excited for this new season for FBC Helena and myself. I feel that God has placed me here for a reason and look forward to seeing His will unfold in my life, my family’s life, and the church’s life. The coming new year will also bring about a new season as we seek to reach out in new ways to the community of Helena. We also want to make some changes to our church as a whole such as some renovations, new outreach events, and incorporating some new music styles.
Come join us one Sunday or Wednesday! Worship with us and be a part of this new season in our community and our church.
